Mr. McKillip has lived in the Reno area since he was two years old.
He has been married for over ten years, and together he and his wife have three children - Aaron, Willow, and Rayna.
Mr. McKillip has been involved in local community theatre for years in many various capacities -- Actor, Director, Assistant Director, Tech, Set Designer, etc. He was founder and director of the St. Vitus Players, a small group of actors who performed Commedia del'Arte style shows at the Northern CA and NV Renaissance Festivals, and is now directing a new troupe dedicated to performing "Shortened Shakespeare", called the Privateer Players.
He attended UNR where he graduated with a B.A. in Secondary Education with emphasis in Theatre. He then interned at Damonte Ranch High School under the mentoring of Rod Hearn, and afterward volunteered to direct and produce a brief show at North Valleys High School.
He has been working at McQueen High School as the Theatre teacher since the 2010-2011 school year, and hopes to continue doing so for a long time to come.
